Rolf Wagschal, PhD
VP Practice Leader
Dr. Rolf Wagschal brings almost 20 years of experience working as a mental performance consultant to Won For All. He is known for assisting high-performance individuals and teams find unique and customized solutions to the myriad challenges they face daily – both on and off the field of play.
His professional training was rather eclectic, with a graduate education that included a focus on counseling and psychology, and culminated with a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Temple University. He credits that combination for giving him the tools needed to effectively consult with a consistently diverse population of clients to successfully help them achieve their performance goals.
His primary professional focus is working with athletes, and throughout his career, he has worked with just about every kind of sport one can imagine. Having spent 7 years working within the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network (COPSIN), he honed his craft by providing both traditional mental performance consulting services to Olympic and Paralympic athletes, in addition to overall wellness and career consulting as part of Game Plan – a Total Athlete Wellness program.
Recently, he has been expanding on his work with Olympic and Paralympic athletes and applying the lessons learned within sport to help professionals in the corporate world. This has included time working within the People Advisory Service at EY, as well as private consulting work and executive coaching within the business community.
Building off his own experience as a former high-performance athlete as an internationally competitive sailor, Dr. Wagschal has a passion for helping to build people and team cultures in ways that foster optimism, collaboration, self-awareness, and a growth mindset. He is a Professional Member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association, and an avid woodworker, golfer, and mountain biker in his spare time.
